At the World Aquatics Diving World Cup stage held in Windsor, Canada, Ukrainian diver Oleksii Sereda claimed a bronze medal in the platform event. This is the first medal for Team Ukraine at this year’s tournament.
The final turned out to be a real drama — Sereda’s decisive dive earned him a mere 0.05-point advantage over his closest competitor. He stepped onto the podium in third place, behind only two Chinese athletes.
This is Sereda’s first medal since the 2024 World Championships. As a reminder, he had to miss part of the season due to injury.
The President of the Ukrainian Diving and Artistic Swimming Federations, Igor Lysov, congratulated Oleksii and his coaches on the brilliant result and wished him continued success on the international stage.
