About the Federation

General Partner of the Federation

For the first time, the decision to create the Federation was discussed at a meeting of coaches during the Ukrainian diving competition in Zaporizhzhya in 1991.

At the beginning of 1992, a constituent conference was held, which was attended by representatives from all regions that were developing diving sport. The President of the Federation was elected Melnyk Konstantyn Dmytrovych.

In the period from 1993 to 2000, there was a rotation of the leadership in the Federation. The following people were at it’s head: K. Alekseev, I. Gulov, and Y. Osipchuk.

In 2000, as required by law at the time, the Federation was created and registered with the Ministry of Justice. Igor Lisov was elected as the The President of the Federation. He occupies that position today.

Period of activity of the Federation

At the beginning of 1992, before the XXV Olympic Games, V. Stetsenko was a member of the national team.

In 1996, representatives of Ukraine in Atlanta (Georgia, USA) were R. Volodkov (Zaporizhzhya ) and M. Lapin (Mariupol).

Since 2000, the Diving Federation of Ukraine has been headed by President – Igor Volodymyrovych Lisov.

Lisov I.V. made a considerable contribution to the development of sports and the Diving Federation of Ukraine. Lisov I.V. constantly provides funding support, and in 2013, his Liko-Holding builds a sports complex “Liko”, which soon becomes the center of the Olympic training of Ukrainian athletes and the base of the national diving team of Ukraine.

During his leadership there has been a rapid increase in number of Ukrainian athletes on the world stage and as well as the skills of coaches.

Lysov Igor Volodymyrovych

Igor Lysov – the President of the Diving Federation of Ukraine (since 1999). Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (since 2019). Member of the Executive Committee of the NOC of Ukraine (since 2014). The secret of Igor Lysov’s success is inexhaustible energy, strong-willed character and unlimited passion for his favorite business. Igor Volodymyrovych does a great deal for the Ukrainian diving: as a result, Ukraine’s diving team is one of the top three teams in Europe. In 2014, he made the dream of Ukrainian athletes come true – building for them the best swimming pool in Europe.
